Top-down Processing Vs Bottom-up
They differ in how they incorporate sensory input, prior knowledge, and expectations into the formation of perception. Both systems are critical for interpreting ambiguous scenarios, from visual illusions to complex decisions. Ultimately, it is how we interpret that collected information which determines how we interact with it. In terms of perception, it describes our ability to organise, interpret, and consciously experience sensory information.
